It is that time of year again to celebrate fall, promote community involvement, and enhance the appeal and appearance of the village. A “Fall Fest Day” is being planned in for Saturday October 1st – 11:00am to 3:00 pm – Under the domes at the Navan Fair Grounds.
“Fall Fest Day” will feature a bustle of activity, food, and fun for the whole family. Scarecrows/Pumpkins/Harvest themes – EVERYWHERE!! Let your imagination soar and please participate in our community fall decorating contest. We hope to see businesses and residences in the Village put up decorations galore! Start thinking on how to make your entrance to your home/business or yard festive for the celebration of “Autumn”. Children’s Activities – Crafts, prizes and fun activities are in store for the kids; face painting, scarecrow building, potato sack races, 3 legged races, tug of war, and so on. Other Activities - Craft displays, demonstrations, chili cook off contest and tasting, carved pumpkin judging. Baked goods, garden produce, jams and preserves, as well as hotdogs and drinks will be available. "Fall Fest Day" is proudly sponsored by the Women's Institute, Navan Community Association, Navan Lions Club, and the Fairboard. What a great event!Thanks to everyone who came to the 2011 Fall Fest. The event was a great success! And we already have a few ideas for next year.
